Aliyah Hussain's practice encompasses performance, photography, painting, printmaking, collage, sound and costume. She experiments with the performative and technical aspects of different media to create works that reference futurist narratives, utopian visions and ritualistic practices embedded in the everyday.

For Covet she will be taking these influences and turning them into unique products for the home.

Callum Stephen Higgins makes a variety of home ware and design items under the name of Constructions By CSH. With a strong focus on lighting, concrete is Callum's go to material, using this usually raw constructive material and transforming it into more subtle and interesting pieces of design. From this Callum has spread into other items and other materials.

Higgins/Hankin are a design duo who have been working alongside each other creating their own pieces of design, furniture, lighting and home wares for some time and have collaborated on a number of pieces in the past. Now they have come together to produce beautiful, unique pieces of furniture with a focus on the use of minimal materials with quality design and construction. Every piece is made to order in a limited run of only five, after that they are sold out for good.

John Powell-Jones’ practice incorporates illustration with fine art and draws heavily from his knowledge and experience of traditional print processes. The various print processes inform each other and the disciplines cross over; a lino becomes a screen print, accidental marks from an etching plate are then manipulated to form part of an image. The visual content of his work takes influence from the historical and the modern. A mixture of ancient texts and imagery of folklore, mythology, alchemy, the occult and witchcraft – to comics, horror, animation, cartoons, popular culture and all the rich iconic imagery that comes with it. He runs his own print studio in Islington Mill Studios, Salford, where he produces his own work as well as commercial screen printing.

Textbook is a graphic design studio focusing on print and publication design for artists, arts & culture organisations. Their work takes a DIY approach, combining traditional print processes with modern technologies. The studio’s work for clients such as Cloudwater Brew Co, Manchester Art Gallery and the Royal Exchange Theatre is informed by self-initiated projects that are often experimental, playful and collaborative. In 2013 they co-founded Risograph collective Mono, a space to learn and push the capabilities of the Risograph process by self-publishing editions of artist prints and publications completely in house.
